With the support of an Oasis Foundation grant, Apillon has been working on an embedded Oasis Wallet SDK and related account abstraction (AA) services. The SDK enables non-custodial private key management, and the wallet service enables wallet creation, payment management, and other essential blockchain actions in the background. As of today, this integration is live, marking a notable enhancement to the developer experience on Oasis. 

What is Apillon?

Apillon is a comprehensive Web3 development platform. With an initial focus on the Polkadot ecosystem, Apillon is expanding to other ecosystems and accelerating development processes with unified API endpoints and tooling. For example, they offer hosting, storage, authentication, and computing services that simplify many of the underlying blockchain interactions. 

Apillon is a key player in the Web3 development landscape, with its platform providing everything from no-code solutions to APIs, SDKs, and CLI options. This versatility makes for quick and efficient deployments, turning parachains into accessible and ready-to-use services. 

How is Apillon Improving the Oasis Network?

Via their integration with Oasis Sapphire, Apillon is helping solve one of crypto’s most fundamental problems: onboarding friction. One persistent issue with the adoption of onchain technology is the fact that getting started can be difficult, especially for users unfamiliar with mnemonics and private keys.

Currently, developers lack effective solutions for managing private keys in a way that ensures user ownership and privacy. As a solution, Apillon created an Oasis Account Abstraction Wallet SDK in Vanilla JS, ReactJS, and VueJS. To start, the SDK works across the EVM ecosystem and supports transactions on the likes of Ethers.JS and Viem. Later versions will also support Bitcoin, Polkadot, and other key pairs. In addition, the Apillon platform will launch a non-custodial Wallet Service, enabling developers to integrate wallet features into their dApps easily. 

Better Onboarding With Oasis and Apillon

The Oasis Wallet SDK allows developers to create privacy-preserving dApps without dealing with some of the blockchain-specific tasks. By integrating with Sapphire, it facilitates smooth sign-up and sign-in while automatically managing mnemonics and private keys in a fully decentralized and confidential manner. Ultimately, the SDK improves DevEx while also streamlining the onboarding process and safeguarding user data.
