Following our recent partnership announcement with Band Protocol, we are thrilled to announce that their scalable and decentralized oracle solution is live and fully integrated on Oasis Network MainNet.
BAND Integration Complete
The integration work that BAND Protocol began in Q4 2021 is now complete.
Assisted by the Oasis Engineering team, Band’s engineering team completed the integration of their time-tested, decentralized oracle solution onto Oasis Network Mainnet on Monday, 24 January 2022. This means it is now possible for projects building on Oasis Network to access the BAND Protocol oracle data feed. The Contract address details can be found here.
Data Feed
The data feed gives the Oasis Network ecosystem access to more than 230 price feeds, which consists of the following component data:
- BNB
- ETH
- ROSE
- WBTC
- USDT
- SOL
- USDC
The prices are updated according to a feeding interval of 1 hour (3,600 seconds) and the off-chain price deviates from the on-chain price by 0.5%.
Going forward, the BAND Protocol oracle will support other lending protocol integrations, namely TGT Finance, a few more native DeFi protocols coming to the network soon as well as some multichain protocols such as WePiggy. The integration will also allow BAND Protocol to offer Oasis Native tokens in the data feed, bringing pricing data of Oasis tokens to all the blockchains that have integrated BAND Protocol. For requests to add new tokens to the data feed on Oasis Emerald it is possible to contact the BAND Protocol team at [email protected].
The Oasis Network is scalable and ideal for DeFi due to its instant finality, 99% lower gas fees versus Ethereum, high throughput, privacy protection, and defense against MEV.
